The mighty Mobius Arch is beautiful and unique in that if you stand to the east of it and look through it to the west, it frames Mount Whitney area. But if you stand west of it and look back to the east at sunrise, you will see what is captured in the photograph attached to this entry. I think most people are looking the other way, and miss the moment captured here. The Mobius is accessible for most via the Arch Loop Trail from a gravel parking area inside the Alabama Hills National Recreation Area, and we saw many of different abilities managing the trail.
