For those of us who cannot trek into the outback or need more expertise scanning for bears, Lake Clark is perfect. You go out with a wildlife guide who is familiar with the area and the bears, getting in and out of a cart. Here, my husband is inspecting and photographing the tracks of the Coastal Brown Bears that live in this park. I'm not sure if he was aware of the bear in the distance, but I'm sure the guide was.
