"Mud Run" - A beautiful young wild stallion gallops past, covered in mud and shining after having just rolled in a watering hole. This was taken 15 minutes after sunset with the challenge of exposing for enough light on a moving animal - settings were f/2.8, 1/1250s shutter, ISO 1600. The light pastel sky is from the atmospheric phenomenon known as the 'Belt of Venus', a pink glow that appears during twilight when reddish sunlight creates backscatter as it hits air molecules.
