A "self portrait" in shadow: As the full moon was setting on this cold morning in March, the Milky Way was able to make itself visible for just a brief period of time before the sun started to light the sky. This allowed me to capture the Milky Way along with the desert landscape and even my own moon-shadow at our campsite in the Alabama Hills!
