After hiking up the High Ridge Nature Trail and then the Sunrise Viewpoint Nature Trail from the Hurricane Ridge parking lot, a trio of nature lovers sat to admire and take in the panoramic view of the ice-capped mountains to the south. From this perch, Cox Valley is straight ahead with Elwha River valley is to the far right. The two are separated by Hurricane Ridge.
