At the end of the Hurricane Hill trail, we witnessed a most beautiful and panoramic sunset. The sun was setting around 9 pm on this evening, and while looking north an amazing display of grandeur unfolded before our eyes. In the distance, the sun was setting over the Elwha River Range, and it perfectly aligned with a mountain peak, creating an almost "erupting volcano" effect. The tip of Vancouver Island is further across the Juan de Fuca Strait. To the far right is the town of Port Angeles.
