At the end of the Hurricane Hill trail, we witnessed a most beautiful and sublime sunset. The sun was setting around 9 pm on this evening, and while we were looking west beams of golden light were showering the world below. In the distance 30 or more miles away, we could see Vancouver Island from across the Juan de Fuca Strait.
