What an extraordinary moment of awe. As the ranger who stopped with us to gaze wide eyed at this closed eyed sleeping soul said, "What a rare siting to see two endangered species together in one sacred morning." Together with the ranger's book and my iNaturalist app, we successfully identified the dreamer as a rare Spotted Owl, an endangered species taking refuge in a resilient endangerd Giant Sequoia fire scar. A hush fell over us all.
