Mahogany Hammock is always a stop on our way to Flamingo. The hammock boasts a lovely boardwalk that takes you through an old tropical hardwood forest. It also boasts large stands of a rare native palm tree that is found in the wild only in the park, the Paurotis Palm. This photo shows two stands on either side where the boardwalk disappears into the forest.
