On a family cross country RV trip from California to North Carolina with 3 little ones, I woke early to watch the sunrise solo on beautiful Hatteras Beach & it was so magnificent. It felt like a spiritual experience, a beacon of hope that each day, we can be assured the sun will rise. As I sat watching the sun rise, I captured a seagull unfazed by my presence, just strolling along the sand. I admired the coloring of this seagull on the east coast, different from the ones I usually see on the west coast.
