I was hiking along the canal and I passed a woman doing yoga. I thought the juxtaposition and the metaphor between the historic lock infrastructure (see explanation below) and her body were interesting - both requiring manipulation of a "system," stretching, pulling, pushing to achieve the desired result.
NOTE: The lock system was in place for more than one hundred years along the canal to support commerce between DC and Pittburgh PA.
