My family had one of the best days ever driving through the Grand Staircase-Escalante Monument in Utah on this mostly dirt road (37 of 46 miles). We started at the south end and travelled up into Cannonville. We hiked the Cottonwood Narrows trail which was one of our favorite hiking trails while visiting southern Utah. The isolation and beauty of this area was amazing. It is a day we will never forget.
