Mt. Rainier National Park is a magical place, not only for the dramatic 14,000 ft active volcano covered in almost 30 glaciers, but also for the surrounding mountain peaks that get less attention. These peaks to the south of the park, which can be seen from the famous skyline trail, feel like they're in their own abutting national park as they glow in summer sunset light.
