Peeking out from behind the Yellow Mounds of Badlands National Park, I was enthralled by the vibrance of the surrounding landscape and mesmerized by the variation of differing lines from my viewpoint. The stratified buttes, the diagonal lines of the mounds and the curved path all struck me and provided an image to depict the different forms of wear and erosion. The layers of millennia, the flow of rainfall and the trodden path of countless feet that have all stood right here to bask in the same beauty that I, too, had found.
