This image was taken on the north rim of Crater Lake at about 10pm local time. We had driven most of the day to get to our campground but our arrival evening was forecast to be the best weather for getting a Milky Way shot. I had been planning this shot for a while. The opportunity turned out to be fabulous and made a unique experience for our 3rd visit to Crater Lake. I used my Nikon D750 shooting f/2.8 for 13 sec at ISO 6400.
