In 2024, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse started a major renovations project on the lighthouse and scaffolding was installed for the exterior renewal. While not the iconic image most are familiar with, the view of the lighthouse from Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Museum of the Sea, Keeper’s office, was an interesting juxtaposition of modern and old technology.
