I have taken shots of three trees that I call the Sentinels at Battery Heights, Manassas National Battlefield. The horrors and happiness these three must have seen over the years has to be at the extremes. For the first time this winter season I captured my favorite one of them on it's own. Seeing the low and wide branches under a thin layer of snow has become a favorite of mine.
