The Roaring Fork Motor Nature trail is a one-way, 7 mile loop road through what was a sparsely populated mountain community. It is a great place to immerse yourself in the human history of the area and to see an abundance of great wildlife. This enormous black bear as standing at the edge of the road as I passed by in my car. I slowed down and snapped around 6 images of this beautiful beast. Getting great wildlife photos does not always require even getting out of the car at GSMNP.
