Wild Cherry season is a magical time to photograph bears in Cades Cove in the GSMNP. With a 600mm lens, it is relatively easy to capture great images of the black bears as they strip the cherry trees of the plentiful tart cherries during this season. This large bear is in the process of breaking the branch so he can eat the cherries at the end of the branches.
