The North Crater Trail travels through some fantastic landscapes including these cinder cones. While the cinders are largely black to grey in color, the reddish color of the further cinder cone wall gives a hint of the possible range of colors. The texture of the cinders and overlapping contours contribute to the depth of the image. Taken with a Fujifilm X-T5 and a XF18-55mm lens at 20mm.
