In the fall of 2023, my family took a cross-country trip from New Jersey to California and back. From Chicago to Santa Monica, California we followed historic Rt. 66. Along the way, we visited the pet-friendly Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Here’s our goldendoodle, Dusty taking in the surreal landscape of the Painted Desert. He also joined us hiking along several trails in the park.
