In the fall of 2023, my family took a cross country trip from New Jersey to California and back. Along the way we stopped at National Parks, National Monuments and National Historical Parks. Our visit to Wupatki National Monument in northern Arizona gave us the unique experience of closely exploring the multistory 104 room Wupatki Pueblo built in the early 1100s. The Native ancestral home was once the center of trading and agriculture in the area.
