White Pockets is a 15-mile 4X4 drive to one of North America's most stunning rock formations. But anyone can make it to White Pockets by using one of the nearby tour services for a day, sunset, or overnight tour. It is a leisurely stroll from the parking lot to the formations. Many people believe White Pockets is better than the nearby "Wave" due to its bigger size and the diversity of the rock formations at White Pockets. Also, it is difficult to win the lottery-based permit system for the "Wave" so most people don't get to go to it. This picture was taken during a clearing storm with a rainbow near the golden hour. I was so overwhelmed by the powerful light that I deliberately left my shadow in the picture to add scale.
