A rare sighting occurred when a Coyote went hunting for a fish in the partially frozen Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. At first it appeared that there were a bunch of butterflies floating on top of the water, but upon a closer look, it was the fins of a school of fish who were just below the surface. I watched several unsuccessful attempts to grab a meal, but finally this Coyote grabbed a sizable Sucker Fish and carried it off into the woods to eat it in private.
