I had seen on the internet that on June 3, 2023 that it would be possible to photograph the rising Moon through Delicate Arch. My buddy Bill and I hike up to the arch before sunset and arrived some 50 minutes before sunset. I used a photography app called Photo Pills to find a location on the north edge of the bowl where the moon should be visible through the arch. I hac carried my camera and tripod with me planning to shoot the shot with it. However, once I determined where I needed to be to take the photo, it was obvious that the ledge was far too narrow to allow me to safely setup a tripod. I ended up taking the photo with me cell phone.
