Mary's Rock Tunnel is an icon in Shenandoah National Park and has been around since the early 1930s. I had been planning this shot for over two years as I wanted to get a shot of Orion and the tunnel together. It was autumn in the mountains and I was up shooting night skies. Around 2:30am I saw my chance and had time to shoot three quick frames before I left. Not only I was able to capture Orion with the iconic tunnel, I also captured the Orion Nebula. A night I won't soon forget!
