While there were many different species of birds that I wanted to see on my family's three-week trip out west, one of the birds on the list was the Trumpeter Swan as it is not only such a rare bird, but also an amazing bird to observe. One day, when driving through Hayden Valley while looking for wolves, I spotted two big white birds in a pond along one of the pull-offs and I had to have my dad pull over into the pull-off to see if my dream to see a Trumpeter Swan would come true. They were in fact a pair of Trumpeter Swans who were feeding off of the bottom of the pond. It was so cool to watch them feeding and I am so grateful for this photo that reminds me of this special moment with a pair of Trumpeter Swans.
