The roads out east of Patagonia are passageways for us, into expansive landscapes. Some friends came into town from Missouri and we wanted to show them one of our favorite spots. When we pulled up over the hill to this view, I was struck by how golden the light was, all around us.
And one thing to note, is the area around Patagonia is facing major transitions, given the new mine there. However, those who live around here can still find peace just a little ways out of town.
