Ah! This was an amazing day. We had arranged to meet friends from Oregon for a vacation in New Mexico around Christmas time. We drove from Arizona; they flew; and we united in Las Cruces. We visited the White Sands one day, and the next we took an incredible walk on the Dripping Springs trail, where we learned about the hermit Giovanni Maria Agostini, and the Boyd´s Sanatorium. Both fascinated us. We still talk about the hermit!
