A nicely paved walkway snakes through the delicate landscape at Petrified Forest National Park. No magic to petrify these logs, just 225 million years of weather and natural processes to turn the logs into stone. Pictured in the center is one of the longest logs in the park, broken into pieces after being turned to stone. To help grasp the size of the log, my partner walks on the path next to the log. Nature is so cool!
