I waited over five hours to capture this photo during a spring trip to Colorado with my aunt. While driving through the park, searching for a place to pull over and walk a trail in hopes of spotting early morning wildlife, we found a breathtaking overlook with a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains. As I glanced down the hill, I saw an animal I had dreamed of photographing: a red fox. It was sleeping beneath a fallen tree, its puffy orange coat a striking contrast against the powdery snow. Capturing a photo of a young red fox in the snow had been on my bucket list since I began photography, and finally, my moment had arrived. I waited five hours, unsure if the fox would come up the hill toward me. Thankfully, it did. After taking over 300 photos from just 25 feet away, this became one of my favorite shots ever.
