The Harding Icefield in Kenai Fjords National Park was a spectacular site to see. The sheer amount of snow and ice was near unfathomable. It really alerted me to the importance of doing my part to care for the earth and protect our polar regions. The shadows of the clouds seemed to act as an omen while the peaks poking through the ice could show snow receding. There is still some hope but me must act fast.
