I was fascinated with all of the abandoned mine buildings around the Kennicott Mines in Wrangell-St. Elias. There was so much life at one point that had been left once the copper ran out. This sunflower to me represented the rejuvenation of life brought along by the National Park Service's restoration efforts of the gorgeous historical buildings in the spectacular landscape.
