Just a little ways up the trail into the woods is an amazingly dark and secluded patch of forest that is perfect for the synchronous fireflies. There is an absolutely stunning amount of lighting bugs here that it makes the forest scene look like a field of yellow flowers! When they flash, they make enough light to see in the dark.
