Summitville is a ghost town being slowly restored. It started in 1870 as a gold mining area, but was deserted by 1893. Revived many times hence, it is now a Superfund site after a bad spill. The old buildings and cabins stand in a variety of disrepair, but wandering around among them is a trip back in time.
