I visited the Bass Harbor Head Light Station, which was constructed in 1858 and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is the most visited place on the west side of Mount Desert Island and the fifth busiest destination in the entire park. It is a small head light on a rocky shoreline and is popular for sunsets.
