The Beaver Meadow's Visitor Center was opened in 1965 and designed by the architectural firm of Frank Lloyd Wright. Mr. Wright had already passed away at the time of the opening but his influence can be readily discerned in the materials of stone, glass and rusted iron and the way the building blends into the background environment. A wonderful native garden was also designed to run along the front of the long glass paneled wing and enhance the natural ambience. The aspens in the photo are at one end of this garden.
