A spectacular fall day in Shenandoah National Park (10/25/24), just north of the Thornton Gap entrance, at peak fall foliage. I went for a drive to see the colors, pulled over a secluded place, and snapped this photo. I didn’t think much of it but could not believe how the forest appeared to be on fire with yellow and orange hues after pulling them off my DSLR.
Hope this photo brings as much joy to those who see it as the scene did for me in person.
