Adjacent to the historic home of John Muir the national historic site also preserves the grounds on Mt. Wanda, a large hill with California coastal type forest from the summit of which are outstanding views of neighboring Vallejo, its suburbs, and San Francisco Bay. The trail through the forest to the summit is quite pleasant.
