The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC is one of the most moving locations on the National Mall. I was lucky enough to find it empty on one January night, and as a consequence was able to take this photo that truly showcases the solemnity of the memorial and the immense number of names of those who sacrificed themselves for our country.
