Looking down on the San Rafael Canyonlands from the Cedar Mountain Recreation Area overlook is an amazing sight. Central Utah is littered with canyons and this one specifically could rival the Grand Canyon. From the overlook in the Cedar Mountains I could see for miles, all the way to the snow covered Mount Pennell, almost one hundred miles south. Roads zig zag on the desert floor below the lookout and lead to some other incredible sights in the San Rafael Swell.
