It's rare to not only find a hummingbird's nest, but to have a safely distanced, but close enough vantage point from which to see into it, especially when it contains newborn chicks! These twins were around 10 days old and had just started to grow pin-like feathers that resembled porcupine spines. They both craned their necks upwards, hoping that their mom was back to feed them their next meal.
