Our last day in the Smokies was gray and rainy. I was feeling a bit under the weather, but we wanted to get out and see the park again. We decided the Roaring Fork Loop would be a good choice. The weather actually made for beautiful photographing conditions, with wet rocks and lush green moss everywhere. I enjoyed driving from stop to stop and photographing the small cascades along the Roaring Fork, while my wife stayed in the car and read a book. It was a slower paced day but exactly what we needed.
