My mom and I were driving through Grand Teton National Park at 5:00 a.m. when she spotted these three bull elk grazing in the field to the right of us. I positioned my beanbag onto the windowsill and slowed down my shutter speed to keep my ISO low in the dark and foggy landscape. After I took quite a few photos, the three bulls all raised their heads and gazed curiously at our car and that allowed me to get one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. It was truly an incredible experience and the foggy early morning backdrop give me a story that I will enjoy telling for years to come.
