Human history in the United States started long before Europeans set foot in the "New World." Some 200 years before Columbus ever set sail, people were building communities in the cliffsides of the Four Corners Region. Moon House ruins are among some of the most impressive. The drive across the slick rock is just the start to the adventure, followed by a hike down and back up the canyon, before you finally approach the structure. A shimmy through a small opening invites you into the lives of these ancient ones. Sitting behind their ancient wall, a visitor can see into the rooms and storage centers. One can imagine the lives of the families clinging to their very existence on these walls. Why were they here? Where did they go?
