An Alaskan Brown Bear reveals what appears to be a broken jaw. The bears in Katmai often have turf wars. This one presumably lost the fight. It is reported that a large number of bears don’t die from old age, but rather because they wear down their teeth or sustain other injuries that render them unable to eat.
