This is a photo taken during an educational event at Yosemite National Park held in August 2024. Yosemite held an event called Stars Over Yosemite and had a group come in and educate the public about space and the stars.
Following the event, members of the public could look through telescopes that had been set up to look at celestial objects. I took this shot during the middle of the presentation.
There were so many different kinds of people in the audience. There were kids, teenagers, adults, the elderly, and also people from all over the world.
Space and its wonders unites us all and brings out the best in humanity.
