Spring weather in Utah is unpredictable and crazy. But it is actually my favorite thing about camping out on the Hurricane Mesa. The views of the surrounding canyons, mountains, and mesas are amazing, but when you add the weather into it, things start to get really incredible. Late March, the skies were gray, raining, windy as heck, then after a few minutes of intense storm the sky broke open and I almost fell out of my camper running back out to capture this scene. Brilliant orange clouds cast over a shadowy blue landscape and distant Pine Valley mountains. The best sunset I have seen yet this year.
