The High Scaler sculpture at Hoover Dam is a grim reminder of how risky this job was for those who helped build dams. Workers would hang precariously hundreds of feet in the air to set charges that would clear loose rock from the canyon walls. Sadly, many of the men who helped build Hoover Dam lost their lives doing so. This is a powerful tribute.
