On May 7-9th, 2024 there was a massive G5 Geostorm from sunspot AR3664 that resulted in CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) of solar particles being ejected towards earth.

The CME resulted in spectacular Aurora Borealis with KP Index value of 9 and BZ value of -29.45nT. We found ourselves in Voyageurs NP and had an amazing light show in some of the darkest sky in the area. This event once every 11 years or so and we were lucky to enjoy this one at the beginning of the cycle.
